Junior Golf

Mission Statement:

"To provide high quality Professional PGA Instruction to all juniors and teach Life Lessons through the Game of Golf. To promote and grow Junior Golf Programs in the  Lehigh Valley and Berks County area."

First-Tee-Sittler Golf provides a fun, challenging and fully interactive learning environment. Junior golfers will be provided PGA instruction, daily practice, and challenging golf games and competitions. Golfers are placed into groups based on age and ability.

Beginner to intermediate players are taught the basic fundamentals of golf. From grip, posture & alignment to full swing, putting & chipping  Each day will include practice in the areas of putting, chipping and sand play. Safety, rules of the game and etiquette are all part of the curriculum.

Advanced players will receive instruction on developing a consistent golf swing and learn mental strategies that can be applied during a round of golf. Each day will include practice in the areas of putting, chipping and sand play. Rules of the game, etiquette and strategy are all part of the curriculum.

A Youth Program Unlike Any Other

First Tee emphasizes Nine Core Values: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgment. Through golf and our core values, kids and teens will learn life skills including:

  • Managing emotions
  • Resolving conflicts
  • Setting up step-by-step goals
  • Planning for the future
  • Appreciating diversity

It is recommended that players wear appropriate attire for the weather, a cap or hat is strongly recommended, use sunscreen. Bring a packed lunch for camps scheduled during lunch time. We will provide snacks, water and drinks to keep players hydrated.


TARGET Level (ages 5 & older)

4 sessions (one hour each):  $79

TARGET LEVEL: An introduction to the First Tee Life Skills Experience. An outreach program for younger students age 5 and 6 comprised of 4 sessions (one hour each). This is a non-certified level of instruction.

Sundays 3pm - 4pm           starting 6/14

PLAYer Level (required minimum age 7)

16 hours of instruction including one session at local golf course:  $219

PLAYer LEVEL: Tee it up for the first time and learn the game of golf and First Tee’s Code of Conduct. NEW entry level for ALL students age 7 and older comprised of 16 hours of instruction including one session at local golf course. All participants must complete the PLAYer Level before going in to the other certified levels.

Saturdays 3pm - 4pm starting 6/6

PAR (recommended minimum age 9)

16 hours of instruction including one session at local golf course:  $219

PAR LEVEL: Focus on interpersonal and self-management skills on and off the course. For participants age 9 and older who have completed the PLAYer Level of instruction, this level of instruction is comprised of 16 hours of instruction including one session at local golf course and includes all the basics such as golf course components, types of golf clubs, and the fundamentals of the golf swing.

BIRDIE (recommended minimum age 11)

20 hours of instruction including five sessions at local golf courses:  $349

BIRDIE LEVEL: Emphasis on setting goals and making them a reality. For intermediate golfers age 11 and older who have completed the PAR Level of instruction, this level of instruction is comprised of 20 hours of instruction including five sessions at local golf courses and includes all the skills of playing golf such as swing mechanics, rules of the game, and managing your game with different clubs. Participants must have successfully completed the PAR Level of instruction.
