Assistant Professional Kenny Hugo

Kenny Hugo
Assistant Professional

Kenny is a 2010 graduate of Penn State University where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Professional Golf Management with a minor in Business Management. He is a class-A PGA Teaching Professional and has been working in the golf industry for the past 10 years.

Kenny received his first job at Sittler Golf Center in 2000. He was in charge of Outside Operations and worked his way up the ranks as a golf shop assistant. His next position was at Moselem Springs Golf Club, where he worked for three years and completed his first internship as Head of Outside Operations. Following Moselem Springs GC he worked at Westhampton Country Club, where he was the Director of the Ladies’ 9-Hole Program and was in charge of the Junior Golf/Sports Programs. Kenny’s third internship was at Baltimore Country club, host of the 2009 Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship (CESPC). He worked as a Golf Shop Assistant, Bag Room Manager, and worked for the CESPC. Kenny’s last internship and current job is back at Sittler Golf Center, where he is now PGA Assistant Golf Professional. His main duties include: Teaching/Lessons, Clubfitting, Golf Shop Operations, Inventory Management, and Junior Golf Assistant.

In the future, Kenny hopes to be a Head Golf Professional/Manager at a high-end Private facility. He also has aspirations of working in sales with a name brand club vendor.

Kenny loves the game of golf and enjoys helping people reach their maximum potential. HIs main emphasis is on the pre-swing fundamentals (i.e. grip, aim, alignment, posture, and set up). These factors are essential to master before the club is even in motion. The idea is to keep things simple and not overwhelm students with concepts such as swing plane and the three lever systems. By making the swing as easy and simple as possible, this will keep students engaged and more willing to take their game to the next level.
